Neurologist
The Neurologist provides high quality patient centred neurological services at the Cayman Islands Hospital, Grand Cayman and Faith Hospital, Cayman Brac as necessary. The post-holder provides electroneurodiagnostic investigations/procedures and treatment as necessary inclusive of NCS, EMG and EEG.
Primary Responsibilities: The successful applicant is responsible for providing 24-hour neurological services including admissions and outpatient clinics. This includes the management of patients as referred by other colleagues from Emergency Room, General Practice and Critical Care Units as well as non-HSA physicians. The post holder provides coverage to general medical patients in the absence of the Internists. Participates in continuing professional development providing workshops on neurology topics for medical staff.
Qualification & Experience: The successful applicant must have a Medical Degree and specialist qualification in Neurology from a recognised Board within either of the seven (7) jurisdictions as specified in the Health Practice Law, Cayman Islands. A minimum of seven (7) years postgraduate experience in Neurology (including Internal Medicine training) either in a clinic or hospital setting. Must be competent in performing Nerve Conduction Studies and EMGs and be able to supervise the performance of EEG as well as its interpretation. The ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team is essential.
Additional Physicians Allowance: US$7,164 - US$47,235 per annum
A remuneration and benefits package, commensurate with experience and qualifications will beoffered to the successful candidates.
