The HSA’s Main Pharmacy has relocated to the new Smith Road Medical Centre, 150 Smith Road in George Town.
The hospital pharmacy will continue to provide service for patients accessing care on-site and is located at the front entrance atrium of the Cayman Islands Hospital at 95 Hospital Road in George Town.
As the largest pharmacy in Cayman, the HSA pharmacy offers a wide selection of medications for hospital patients, government employees and prescriptions from your private physician. With eight pharmacy locations across Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac, we can provide services close to home for all residents of Cayman.
Please note:
All uncollected prescriptions and refill requests previously submitted will now be available for collection at the Smith Road Pharmacy.

Drop Box – refill Dropbox is located outside of the Cayman Islands Hospital Pharmacy. **Refills must be collected at the Smith Road Pharmacy Location
Refills will also be delivered to Civil Servants working at the Government Administration Building (for civil servants working at GAB).
*WhatsApp, phone, Dropbox, and online refill requests are only available for prescriptions that have refills remaining. If you require a new prescription, please contact your doctor. Refills are available in 24 hours.
Please be advised
When collecting your medication, please provide photo identification along with your current health insurance card. The average wait time for prescriptions to be filled is approximately 30 – 45 minutes, although during peak times such as 10:00am – 2:00pm you may incur extended wait times.
Medication Disposal
Members of the public can safely dispose of unused and expired medications in two new medication disposal bins located at:
- Anthony S. Eden Hospital Pharmacy
- Smith Road Medical Centre Pharmacy
The bins are available to everyone in the community during regular opening hours.
Important: These bins are NOT the same as the refill Dropbox.
Accepted and Not Accepted Items
Before depositing medications, users should remove labels containing personal information where possible OR completely obscure personal information with a dark permanent marker.

Note: Medications should preferably remain in their original containers. Blister packs and loose tablets are accepted but place loose tablets in a sealed container.

- Aerosol cans
- Thermometers
- Lotions or liquids
- Hydrogen peroxide
Note: For guidance on disposing of these and other items not accepted in the bins, patients can speak with their pharmacist and/or confirm whether the items can be returned to their pharmacy for appropriate disposal.
