Infection Control & Quality Manager (Faith Hospital)
The role is responsible for overseeing infection prevention and control, quality assurance, and risk management programs to ensure a safe healthcare environment and high standards of patient care. This includes monitoring infection surveillance, leading quality improvement initiatives, managing risks and incidents, and ensuring compliance with local and international healthcare standards. The postholder supervises Environmental Services staff to maintain cleanliness and safety, conducts health and safety inspections, and supports workplace safety initiatives. Additionally, the role leads accreditation and compliance activities, coordinates inspections, and ensures readiness for regulatory bodies such as JCI.
The position also focuses on staff education and communication by delivering training, supporting orientation, and reporting on quality, safety, and risk performance to leadership.
Qualifications and Experience: Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field, with current licensure from the Cayman Islands Health Practice Commission. A minimum of five (5) years’ leadership experience in a healthcare setting is required, along with training or certification in Infection Control (APIC preferred) is required. The applicant should have proven experience in quality improvement, risk management, and hospital-based infection prevention is essential.
