The Moderna Fall Booster is available to all eligible persons 12 years and over whom have had their last COVID-19 vaccination or booster more than 3 months ago.

Moderna (bivalent) fall booster shot are available to those who had their last COVID-19 vaccination or booster more than 3 months ago.
BOOSTER PROGRAMME & CRITERIA (Pfizer)
4th dose (booster) is available to persons 18 years and over, who received their 3rd dose MORE than 6 months ago
3rd dose (booster) is available to persons who meet the criteria below and have their 2nd dose MORE than 3 months ago
• PERSONS AGED 18 YEARS AND OVER.
Clinically Vulnerable PERSONS (12+ years old), For Example those with*:
o Diabetes
o Hypertension
o Cancer
o Heart disease
o Lung disease
o Kidney disease
o Autoimmune diseases or compromised/weakened immune system
o Asthma
o Down’s syndrome (adults)
o Severe mental illness
o People on immunosuppression therapies
o People with solid organ transplants
o Pregnant women
• Other people who have also been classed as clinically extremely vulnerable, based on clinical judgement and an assessment of their needs – GPs and hospital clinicians determination
GENERAL VACCINE INFO
• When receiving your 2nd, 3rd or 4th dose, please bring along your vaccination card and/or MyHSA digital vaccine certificate reflecting your previous doses
• Dose 1 & 2 are available to persons 12 years and older. Parental consent required for anyone 12 – 17 years old
• Boosters (3rd dose) are available to persons 18 and over, three (3) months after their 2nd dose
• Boosters (4th dose) are available to persons 18 and over, six (6) months after their 3rd dose
• The date on your vaccination card for the 2nd dose is the earliest that is recommended
• All persons must present photo identification showing date of birth
• Facemask required – Please bring your own.
• Do NOT laminate your vaccination card

If someone is home bound and unable to attend one of the vaccination clinics, they should contact the Flu Hotline 1-800-534-8600 or 947-3077 or flu@hsa.ky or their local HSA District Health Centre and arrangements will be made to with a Public Health nurse to provide the vaccine in their home.

COVID TESTING NO LONGER REQUIRED
Public Health Department has announced that effective 1st March 2023, confirmation PCR testing for positives will no longer be required and COVID testing centres will cease operations on all three islands. LFT positive online reporting will also no longer be required.
Isolation requirements:
- Vaccinated & Unvaccinated COVID-19 positive persons will isolate for 6 days and leave isolation on day 7 as long as you have no symptoms
- Vaccinated & Unvaccinated Contacts – Persons who are primary contacts of COVID-19 positive persons must conduct daily lateral flow testing for 6 days, but may continue usual activities
- As a reminder, the day you test positive, is considered Day 0.

What are the symptoms?
Common symptoms include respiratory symptoms:

- Fever of more than 38C or 100.4F or chills
- Cough
- Tiredness
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Diarrhea
Serious symptoms – if you develop any of these, call 911 immediately

- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Chest pains
- Loss of speech or mobility or confusion
- Severe or persistent vomiting
How soon do symptoms occur?
- Symptoms occur 2-14 days after a person has been exposed (average 5 days).
Is there a vaccine against coronavirus?
- Yes, there is a vaccine.
How do I reduce the risk of coronavirus infection?
- wear a facemask
- frequent hand cleansing with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
- covering nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing
- practice social distancing of minimum of 6 feet
- avoiding close contact with people suffering from acute respiratory infections, and
