Maintenance Foreman (Faith Hospital)
Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of all HSA facilities on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of hospital infrastructure, utilities, and critical support systems. The role includes maintaining buildings, grounds, oxygen and water systems, generators, medical support equipment, and the hyperbaric chamber mechanical systems, while coordinating repairs, managing work orders and inventory, supporting emergency preparedness activities, and responding to after-hours maintenance emergencies. As the sole Maintenance Foreman on the island, the postholder plays a critical role in ensuring continuity of essential services and maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate must possess a vocational qualification or diploma in Plumbing, Electrical Studies, General Construction, or a related trade, together with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant maintenance experience. Applicants must demonstrate practical experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, woodworking, door hardware, and general building maintenance. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, experience using hand and power tools, the ability to read blueprints and technical instructions, excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid driver's license and strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
