Dr. Fraser is a Caymanian and holds a Bachelor of Medical Science, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and a Doctor of Medicine in Pathology from the University of the West Indies. She has experience in both Surgical and Autopsy Pathology.
Dr. Kimone Fraser attended the University of the West Indies (Mount Hope and Mona campuses) for her medical degree. Upon her graduation in 2012, she did a year of internship at the Spanish Town Hospital, followed by a Senior House Officer year in Pathology at the National Public Health Laboratory then Primary Care in the Kingston and St. Andrew Health Department.
She returned to the Cayman Islands for a year, where she worked at the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority as a Junior Physician in Pathology and Internal Medicine.
In 2015, she returned to UWI, Jamaica for a residency in Pathology. She was appointed Chief Resident in her final year. She attained her Doctor of Medicine in Pathology in December 2019 and since April 2020 has returned to the HSA.
She has one published paper to date in the Journal of Clinical Pathology and two more papers currently being edited for publication.
She is married and enjoys reading and exploring food in her spare time.
