The Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Nick Gent, has approved the rollout of the Moderna Fall Booster to all eligible persons 18 years and over.

"The recent rollout of the Moderna (bivalent) fall booster was provided to persons in care homes, healthcare workers and those over 70 years old", said CMO Dr Gent. "We are now expanding this outreach the adults 18 years and older whom have had their last COVID-19 vaccination or booster more than 3 months ago."

Seasonal flu vaccines (only) are also available Monday Friday 2pm 4pm at the District Health Centres, no appointment needed.  Community outreach locations (ie: grocery stores) are also listed on the schedule.

If someone is home bound and unable to attend one of the vaccination clinics, they should contact the Flu Hotline 1-800-534-8600 or 947-3077 or their local HSA District Health Centre and arrangements will be made to with a Public Health nurse to provide the vaccine in their home. 

Please bring to the vaccination clinics:

  • Vaccination card or digital vaccination certificate showing the date of last COVID vaccine (not applicable for flu vaccine)
  • Government issued photo identification showing date of birth
  • Facemasks (please bring your own)
