Registered Nurses (District Health)

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse – District Health Services to provide high-quality nursing care to individuals and families within community, clinic, and home-care settings. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive health assessments, develop individualized care plans, support chronic disease management, provide clinical nursing interventions, and coordinate care across healthcare and community services. The role also includes health promotion, disease prevention, emergency response, discharge planning, and participation in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and community wellbeing.

Qualifications & Experience: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, current licensure with a recognized Nursing Board/Council, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The successful candidate must be registered in either of the following jurisdictions to be eligible to practice in the Cayman Islands; Jamaica, USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and/or Australia. Candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years’ nursing experience and demonstrated expertise in community or primary healthcare, chronic disease management, wound care, medication administration, home-based nursing services, and health education. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and care coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, community organizations, patients, and families. IV Certification and specialty nursing certification are considered assets.
