The Bank Reconciliation Officer is responsible for performing and managing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records and cash management operations. The role includes reviewing banking transactions, preparing reconciliation reports and adjusting entries, and supporting compliance with financial procedures and reporting deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities: The successful candidate is responsible for performing and managing bank reconciliations for all HSA bank accounts, ensuring accuracy of financial records, identifying discrepancies, preparing adjusting entries, and supporting the integrity of treasury and cash management operations. The role also involves liaising with finance teams, auditors, and banking institutions to ensure compliance with accounting procedures, reporting deadlines, and financial regulations.

Qualifications and Experience: The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience, or an Associate Degree in Accounting with 5–7 years’ relevant experience. Consideration may also be given to candidates without formal qualifications who possess at least 10 years’ accounting experience, including direct experience in bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound knowledge of accounting procedures and reconciliations, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
