Switchboard Operator

Job Summary: The Switchboard Operator provides a 24-hour communication and answering service for the Cayman Islands Health Service Authority.

Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate should possess a High School diploma with at least one year of relevant work experience and excellent customer service skills. They should be capable of handling stressful situations and effectively communicating with both staff and clients of the Health Services Authority. Previous training in switchboard/telephone operations and knowledge of managing confidential information are required; a customer service course is a plus. Experience with evening and overnight shifts is beneficial. The candidate must be mature, attentive, and articulate, with flexibility to work a mixed shift schedule on weekdays (7 am-3 pm, 3-11 pm, and 11 pm-7 am) and weekends, including public holidays. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with professionals, executives, and Board members, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
