The Urgent Care Clinic provides patients with same-day access to medical care for common and non-emergency illnesses and injuries such as respiratory infections, sprains and strains, minor fractures, gastrointestinal issues, and joint or back pain.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide timely medical care for a broad range of urgent and non-urgent conditions within the Urgent Care Centre. The role includes working collaboratively with clinical teams across departments to ensure coordinated patient care and delivering services in line with the best practice standards. The physician may be expected to offer professional guidance to healthcare workers and contribute to programme development within the department. Additionally, the postholder will participate in the provision of medical coverage during storms or post-storm recovery as scheduled.

Qualification & Experience: The successful candidate must have a Medical Degree (MBBS, MD) AND an approved postgraduate certification, in Family Medicine/General Practice, Urgent Care Medicine, or Emergency Medicine, with an accredited body recognised by the Health Practice Commission. Must have at least three (3) years’ clinical experience practicing in Urgent/Emergency care within a hospital setting. The candidate must be registered in one of the 7 jurisdictions to be eligible to practice in the Cayman Islands: Jamaica, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, UK. Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a solid ethical and professional attitude are essential for success in this role.
