Phlebotomy technicians are important members of the healthcare team who collect blood and prepare samples for testing.

Registration for the upcoming Phlebotomy Technician Course opens on June 1 and runs through June 30, 2026.
Course Details
The course begins in October 2026 and will run for 6-8 months.
- Monday & Wednesday, 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
- First and Third Saturday of the month, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
The training will be held at the Hibiscus Conference Rooms, Anthony S. Eden Hospital.
Eligibility Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma with passes including:
- Math, English, Biology, or any other related subject
- Professionals trained in allied health fields may also be eligible for course enrollment
- Proof of being Caymanian
What's included in the course?
- This course will include training materials and a pass certifying exam at the end of the programme.
- Successful candidates will receive a Phlebotomy Technician Certification through HSA.
- Be eligible to sit the American Medical Technologist accreditation exam (at the applicant’s cost).
- All students enrolling in this course must present a valid ID and health insurance at the time of registration.
Fees: KYD 2500 per student (Cost includes all course materials, books, and lab supplies.)
