The Sickle Cell Support Group is a safe and welcoming space for individuals living with sickle cell disease and their families to come together, share experiences and receive support. It usually meets twice a year and is organised by the Genetic Coordinator in the Public Health Department.

These meetings are designed to:

  • Provide emotional & social support
  • Share useful information about managing sickle cell disease
  • Offer an opportunity to ask questions and engage with healthcare professionals
  • Help affected individuals and their families feel less alone by connecting with others who understand their journey.
