Dr Almeida’s 20-year illustrious career has seen him perform more than 5,000 orthopaedic surgeries, including more than 1000 joint replacement surgeries, more than 2,000 arthroscopies and 900 arthroscopic ligament reconstructions of the knee.

Dr Almedia will join other specialists in the Orthopaedic and Sports and Exercise Medicine clinics where he will be primarily based. This clinic focuses on a full range of diagnostic operations and endoscopic treatments of various joint diseases, hip, shoulder, elbow, and knee.
Dr Almeida holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from St John’s Medical College at Bangalore University and MS in Orthopaedics from JJM Medical College in Davangere, India. He completed his Fellowship in Arthroplasty at Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai, and his Fellowship in Arthroscopy from Kamineni Hospital in Hyderabad. He is a member of the Caribbean Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, SICOT (International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology) and The Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
