“All individuals aged 6 months and older are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated,” Dr Williams Rodriguez stated. “Vaccination is critical to protecting yourself, your family, and the broader community, particularly those at higher risk of severe complications from the flu.”
Flu Vaccine Locations and Schedule
- Public Health Department Clinic, Smith Road Medical Centre (2nd Floor): Saturday, 6 September 2025, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Anthony S. Eden Hospital (Atrium): Monday 8 September - Friday 12 September from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- District Health Centres: Starting Tuesday, 9 September 2025 onwards, Monday to Friday, 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Faith Hospital, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Health Centre: Please contact the health centre directly to arrange vaccination.
Flu shots are provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. No appointments are required; however, individuals should notify the registration officer that they are present to receive the flu vaccine.
Workplace Vaccination Programme
To minimise disruptions and increase access, the Public Health Department continues its workplace vaccination programme for companies with 20 or more employees. Employers interested in scheduling on-site vaccinations should contact the Public Health Department at 244-2621 or 244-2889, or via email at publichealthdepartment@hsa.ky .
