District Health Centres

Forensics
Forensics is temporarily closed to the public for urine drug testing (including employment medicals) and paternity tests.
General Practice Clinic
All non-essential appointments for the General Practice clinic have been canceled to protect patients and minimize potential transmission of COVID-19. All patients with appointments will be contacted to reschedule.
Nutrition
The Nutrition Department has started using the “TELEMED NUTRITION” service for patients who have appointments and are not considered urgent.
This service have been utilized with several of our patients >55yrs old and the otherwise vulnerable members of the community; through contacting either the patients themselves or where necessary, a family member responsible for the care of these individuals. The consultations are done and the necessary dietary recommendations are forwarded via email or dropped off at their convenience.
Patients who are on the homecare list will have their Medical Nutrition Therapy information or tube feed regime changes delivered at their home where necessary. 244-2663/ 244-2655
Paediatric Outpatient Clinic
The Paediatric Outpatient clinic has suspended routine check-ups and acute care clinics until further notice.
Pain Clinic
The Pain Clinic is operating 9am – 12pm for appointments only (no walk-ins). Patient will be contacted individually for appointments going forward until further notice. Patients are required to wear a masks prior to entering the clinic and temperature screening will be done prior.
Patients will need to contact the Pain Clinic Nurse via email tamara.ebanks2@hsa.ky or phone 244-7583 for prescriptions and referrals. Please allow 48hrs notice.
Pharmacy
Cayman Islands Hospital Pharmacy (main location)

Physiotherapy
All non-essential appointments for Physiotherapy have been canceled. Patients will be contacted on a case by case basis. Physiotherapy has been temporarily relocated to the first floor of Smith Road Centre, 150 Smith Road.
Public Health
All non-essential appointments have been canceled. Childhood vaccination appointments will continue once mandatory curfew is lifted.
Radiology
All non-essential appointments and screenings have been canceled. Patients will be contacted on a case by case basis.
Specialist Clinic
All non-essential appointments for the Specialist Clinic have been canceled. Patients will be contacted on a case by case basis by their specialist.
Surgery
All elective surgeries have been cancelled.
Women’s Health Centre
All appointments in Women’s Health have been canceled until further notice apart from the Antenatal (pregnancy) clinics. Postnatal patients will have telephone consultations. Patients can visit A&E department if they have an urgent or emergency medical need.
ParentCraft Classes have been cancelled until further notice.
