Public Health has announced that effective immediately, the quarantine period for primary contacts of a positive COVID-19 case will be reduced to 10 days, only if every member in the household is fully vaccinated (have completed dose 2 at least two weeks ago).
If you have children in the home who are not of vaccination age (0-11 years old), the 14 day quarantine period remains in effect.
If your entire household is fully vaccinated, please contact Public Health directly (244-2889, 244-2621, quarantine@hsa.ky) to verify your vaccination status. If you qualify for the reduced quarantine, you will be provided with a date and time to take your PCR COVID-19 test. All persons in the household will need to test negative (non-detected) for COVID-19 to be released from quarantine.
If you are in a household with a positive COVID case, the 14 day isolation remains and you must follow all guidance from the Public Health staff.
