The Health Services Authority (HSA) was presented with three awards by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) highlighting the significant improvements and achievement in its pursuit of an unmodified/unqualified (clean) audit opinion for the years of 2018 and 2019.
HSA’s Chief Executive Officer Lizzette Yearwood, Chief Financial Officer Dawn Cummings and Deputy Board Chairman Rolston Anglin accepted the awards, which were presented on 27 August during the Standing Public Accounts Committee presentation ceremony at the Legislative Assembly. They included the Unqualified Audit Opinion Award 2018, the 2019 Audit Efficiency Award and the 2018 Most Improved Award.
“It’s an honour to receive these awards and for our talented and dedicated employees at every level to be acknowledged for the consistent work they put in each day to make such an accomplishment a reality,” said Ms Yearwood.
Mr Anglin stated, “The staff of the HSA have earned these awards and I am grateful to each one for their steadfast work ethic and their commitment to the Board’s vision of enhancing accountability and reform through the many improvements they have made within the past few years. We also thank the Public Accounts Committee for recognizing our efforts with the presentation.”
