Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate (EMT-I)

Job Summary: To provide advanced pre-hospital emergency care and transportation in accordance with the protocols, policies and procedures of the Cayman Islands EMS. In addition, provide routine transport to and from Hospital facilities as and when required. Above all the candidate acts as a role model for EMS staff and ensure their daily activities reflect the mission, goals and objectives of Cayman Islands EMS.

Qualifications and Experience: The successful applicant must possess either an EMT-Intermediate Registration with the Cayman Islands Health Practitioners Board or a Medical Laboratory Certification. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field is required. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and exhibit strong multitasking skills to handle medical emergencies both during and after regular working hours. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires availability for after-hours and weekend shifts. Additionally, candidates should be high school graduates with passes in English, Math, and Science, and must hold an EMT-B Licensure prior to completing one year of advanced training
