Responsibilities: The post-holder will provide Hematology/Oncology Services for the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority. The position involves evaluation and management of patients with diagnosis of cancer, hematologic disorders and internal medicine patients.
Qualification & Experience: Postgraduate qualification with 3-5 years Hematology/Oncology consultant experience. Must be registerable in Jamaica, USA, UK, Canada, South Africa and/or Australia.
Salary: Starting salary will be in the range of CI$100,000 to CI$128,000 per annum plus an on-call allowance of CI$18,000. Salaries in the Cayman Islands are not subject to any direct taxation; there is a compulsory contributory Pension Scheme at 6% contribution from the employee with a matching 6% from the Authority.
Other benefits: 25 days paid vacation per annum, subsidized healthcare, air passage for employee and approved dependants plus a freight allowance to cover the costs of 120 cubic feet or 1000 pounds.
The Health Services Authority is the Government provider of healthcare throughout the Cayman Islands and comprises of two Acute General Hospitals (Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac), General Practice, Public Health and Community Health including District Clinics. Situated about 450 miles south of Florida, the Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory, with a resident population of about 60,000 plus tourist visitors.
